Can I make bookings without registering?

Unfortunately not, to take a booking we need to have an address and name. The only extra piece of information we require is a password to register you and we have made this required as we would like to make you next booking easier. All your information is secure and confidential.

What types of vehicles do you have?

All our vehicles have a very high standard of cleanliness. All are from quality manufacturers ie Mercedes, Volvo etc

We have standard saloon cars (4 Passengers) and MPVs for 5 or 6 Passengers. When you make a booking these options are shown for you to select.

I have a wheelchair, can I book with you?

Of course we have accessible vehicles available upon request. Please just complete the comments box on the booking page and Airport Cars Booking Team will arrange the rest.

Why should I use Airport Cars Gatwick?

Airport Cars Management team has been especially selected by Gatwick Airport Limited to operate a first class taxi / chauffeur service from both North and South Terminals.

All our cars are branded with the new Gatwick Airport Branding and we have special access within the airport allowing us to collect or drop off straight to the doors of the terminal ensuring your journey is as seamless as possible.

We have the only Taxi rank at the Airport and so using us gives you a quick and reliable service 24/7. We are also part of Gatwick Airport and with that comes a responsibility to our customers to give you a secure and safe service.

I’m not taking a flight, can I book with you?

Absolutely, our services are available 24/7 to anyone travelling through the airport by plane, rail or coach.

 

Why should I book a return journey?

If you book your return journey while making your initial booking you will get a 10% DISCOUNT for the return leg.

Making a booking

I’m having difficulty finding my address?

This can be for several reasons but one of the most common is when you are trying to find a street in a town. When you search for this please remember to separate the town from the street with a comma.

Cancellations

If I want to cancel / change a booking what are the implications?

This is explained fully in section 4 of our terms and conditions. The golden rule is to try and make the cancellation as early as possible and preferably at least a day in advance. To cancel/change a booking please call us on +44 (0) 1293 567700.

Safety

Are my personal details safe?

Your personal details are stored securely in our database and are used for providing you the taxi booking service as part of Airport Cars Gatwick and Gatwick Airport Ltd. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details.

Is the website secure?

The online application uses industry-standard SSL encryption to keep communication of private information secure between your device/browser and our servers, all of which are housed in a secure UK data centre.

How do I know the cab firms are safe?

Before any driver has the opportunity to join our team they are require to go through a stringent vetting process including:

 
  • Advance driving course
  • Knowledge Test
  • Full Medical
  • Advanced CRB check (Criminal Records Bureau)

      Booking

      The screen says my booking was successful but I haven't received the confirmation e-mail. What should I do?

      Check that the message has not been blocked by any anti-spam tools, and that messages from the domain airportcars-gatwick.co.uk are allowed through.

      What if I have booked my taxi with the wrong details?

      Simply email us to correct the booking (as long as it is outside the minimum periods detailed in the cancellation section of our Terms and conditions).

      Can I book by telephone?

      Yes, we are always here to help on a 24/7 basis our booking number is +44 (0) 1293 567700.

      Payment & charges

      When do I pay for my cab ride?

      When making a booking online you pay for it as you make the booking.

       

      Can I pay by card or cheque?

      Credit & debit cards - we take all the major card types. Payments are taken through an industrial standard secure online payment system.

      Cheque – sorry these are not taken as payment.

      I'm travelling for business purposes. How can I get a receipt?

      Yes, just ask the driver when on your journey.

      Costs?

      We give a fixed price quote through our online service. The costs are based on the type of journey you take, the timing and the destination. For example during the working week a congestion charge is payable when entering that zone in London.

      Travel

      I'm booking a taxi to collect me from the airport. How do I find my car when my flight arrives?

      Within each terminal follow the taxi signs to our bookings desks where one of our booking team staff will escort you to your awaiting vehicle.

      My inbound flight is delayed. How long will my cab driver wait?

      We will monitor the flight to ensure the correct amount of time is given due to your delay. Our booking desks are situated at both North and South Terminals so we're always here to assist you if you are unfortunately delayed.

        

      What if my booked taxi never arrives?

      As we have the only Taxi rank at the Airport and we man this 24/7 this is not an issue for our customers.

      International

      I live outside the UK and I'd like to use you to book an airport pick-up for my next visit to London?

      Make a booking and give us as much information as you can (i.e. date, time and if possible the flight number). We will ensure a car is ready for your journey.
